Avon Health and Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing, rehabilitation and memory care facility, where living well is a lifestyle. With the growing need for long term and short term care we are looking for and hiring people that want to be a part of a team focused environment that will bring a sense of kindness and compassion to our team.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Primary Responsibilities

The CNA is responsible for providing for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the residents under the supervision and direction of a Staff Nurse.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Essential Functions

· CNA’s will take and monitor vital signs, intake and outputs, weights, and meal consumption as assigned by staff nurse

· CNA’s will assist residents with their bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming and dressing needs

· CNA’s will check catheters frequently and provide catheter care as assigned by the nurse

· Maintaining resident rooms by making bed or changing bed linens, cleaning bedside table and organizing personal belongings as needed

· Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights and privacy are protected at all times

· CNA’s will report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedures using the designated occurrence reporting system

This facility considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.

Requirements:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications

· Be certified by the Indiana State Department of Health as a CNA in good standing.

· A high school diploma or GED, unless working under a student permit

· Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana

· Have basic computer skills along with knowledge of such programs as Excel, Word, etc.
